Safe Campus

Our interpretation of safe campus is as follows:

  1. We provide a separate entrance and exit for people attending a safe campus event.
  2. We provide separate restrooms for people attending a safe campus event.
  3. We clearly post which portion of the building is being used for the safe campus event.
  4. We will either lock appropriate doors or provide other dividers to clearly identify which part of the building is closed to those under the age of 18.
  5. We will provide a sponsor or volunteer security person(s) to monitor the portion of the facility we are closing for the event.
  6. We will identify which events are safe campus on our church calendar.
  7. Due to the number of activities that occur at Sonrise church, there are times when people under the age of 18 will be in different parts of the building or outside on the property but they will not be allowed in the portion of the facility set aside as a safe campus.

We may be able to assist with housing referrals, medical, and dental needs and we have lists of felony friendly employers available.
